C26 - The Twelve Core Functions of a Counselor

12 Hours

Goal:


The goal of the course is to insure that counselors have a thorough understanding of the twelve basic functions and their application in a therapeutic setting.

Objective:


Identify components found in an effective treatment plan.

Identify reasons for referring a client.

Discuss the importance of writing good treatment notes.

C27 - Anatomy of Healing Energy

20 Hours

Goal:


The goal of this course is to bring together the powerful works of Carolyn Myss, PhD, and John Diamond, MD. and their understanding of working with these natural energy systems. 

To show that by combining the natural energy systems of the chakras and meridians health care providers can better diagnose and treat clients.

Objective:


Discuss how family of origin issues, 1st.& 2nd. chakra issues, can control the client behaviors today.

Describe how working with the spleen meridian can help the client increase their self esteem.

Explain how the heart chakra is used to help clients find forgiveness and release resentment.

C28 - Hepatitis C, STDS, AIDS

6 Hours

Goal:


To educate participants about the physical and psychological problems occurring among patients suffering from AIDS, HIV, TB, Hepatitis B & C.

Objective:


The student will be able to identify physical and psychological symptoms of individuals who suffer from HIV, AIDS, TB, including multi-drug resistant TB, syphilis, and hepatitis B & C. The students will have the opportunity to be more sensitive to patients entering treatment programs who are at risk of having one or more of these diseases. The focus is on these particular infectious diseased because they occur frequently among treatment populations and have significant medical and socioeconomic consequences for infected persons and others if not recognized and treated.

C29 - Body / Mind Therapy

13 Hours

Goal:


To demonstrate that alternative strategies work extremely well for physical and emotional healing.

Objective:


The student will be able to define very unique ways of working holistically with a client. Participants will have the opportunity to develop an understanding of the healing touch profession. The student will be able to discuss their core beliefs about healing and a variety of specific interventions. The student will be able to demonstrate 4 kinesiology and meridian balancing techniques.

C30 - Introduction to Reiki

10 Hours

Goal:


The goal of this course is to introduce professionals to the power of hands on healing.

Objective:


The student will be able to discuss the meaning of each charka as they relate to physical and emotional issues. The student will be able to demonstrate the hand positions associated with balancing each charka. The student will be able to discuss the history of passing of the attunements as will as the use in energy in healing.
