C35 - Radical Forgiveness

13 Hours

Goal:


The overall goal of this course is to inform participants of a powerful set of strategies to assist their clients in releasing resentments and taking charge of their lives. A great course for anyone working with addicts of all types, anger management, marriage and family issues, Criminal Justice clients and victims of incest, abuse or trauma.

Objective:


Participants will be able to discuss the 13 steps of the forgiveness process, the concepts behind the radical Forgiveness Process as well as how to transform the Victim Archetype and their pain. You will also be able to discuss how to facilitate a person or group utilizing the Radical Forgiveness worksheet.

C36 - Clinical Supervision I

3 Hours

Goal:


The goal of this course is to inform participants about what supervision is, what supervisors do and expose participants to various models of supervision.

Objective:


Participants will be able to express the purpose of supervision and discuss the qualities of effective supervision. You will be able to define the role of the supervisor and how to select a preferred style. Participants will also be able to discuss how to select a Model of Supervision.

C37 - Clinical Supervision II

3 Hours

Goal:


The goal of this course is to assist participants in the methods and techniques of supervision, defining the role of the relationship in supervision and how the supervisor selects methods and techniques to help the supervisee grow and develop.

Objective:


Participants will be able to discuss how to structure a case conference, form a working alliance with the supervisee and how to apply skills to work with the difficult supervisee. Participants will also be able to discuss some major problems in the supervisory relationship and how to resolve them.

C38 - Clinical Supervision III       &      C38a Clinical Supervision IIIa

15 Hours                                         16 Hours

Goal:


This course will cover all topics in Clinical Supervision I & II and a variety of other issues. It will further enhance the supervisor in performing their job in an ethical and effective manner.

 

Objective:


In this course participants will be able to describe what a dual relationship is and problems with them, the ethical and legal issues in supervision, the main supervisee mistakes with clients. Participants will also be exposed to multicultural issues in supervision, good recordkeeping, and the role of personal development.

C39 - The Therapeutic Value of AA’s 12 Steps

12 Hours

Goal:


This course will cover the 12 steps and how they work to aid the alcoholic of addict in recovery. A wonderful course for any counselor working with clients who could benefit from a spiritual based program of recovery.

Objective:


As a result of this course participants will be able to discuss the 12 steps and how they apply to recovery from alcoholism and any other addictive disorder. Participants will also be able to describe the actions and thought processes necessary for the alcoholic to surrender to the disease. Participants will also be able to discuss the necessity of a personal inventory, relationship building and giving back what was given in order to remain sober or addiction free.

C40 - Incest, Case Study and Psych-Social History

4 Hours

Goal:


To assist participants in developing an understanding of the family dynamics underlying incest and doing a through psych-social history to aid in the development of a comprehensive treatment plan.

Objective:


As a result of this course participants will be better able to discuss the family dynamics of incest and the role of rigid rules in family secrets. Participants will also be able to describe useful questions necessary to help the survivor unravel the facts of their past.

C41 – Using the Principals of AA for Sobriety

10 Hours

        Goal:


The course text is “The Big Book of AA” by Alcoholics Anonymous

Objective:


Participants will be able to discuss the medical aspects of alcoholism and how this drives behavior. Participants will be able to discuss the importance of opening up to a spiritual relationship to aid in ones recovery. They will also be able to describe how to let go of character defects that are discovered in the 4th and 5th steps.
